The Gathrd ChatGPT app is now built and ready as a connected product surface. It lets people connect their Gathrd account to ChatGPT, browse collections and saved items in chat, create collections, save supported retailer links, and move back into Gathrd when they want a fuller product view.
This feature required cross-surface work rather than a thin connector. The release brings together the ChatGPT connection, Gathrd account access, a signed-in web viewer, and app handoff paths so ChatGPT activity stays tied to the same Gathrd account and collections.
Added, improved and fixed
- Added the core ChatGPT connection for Gathrd so people can browse collections, create collections, save supported retailer links, and continue the journey without leaving chat immediately.
- Added in-chat collection and saved-item browsing so ChatGPT can bring back the right Gathrd context during shopping conversations.
- Added collection-picking support for moments when more than one collection name could match, so saves are less likely to end up in the wrong place.
- Added a dedicated ChatGPT connection approval page on the web with sign-in, permission review, and clear user consent before ChatGPT can access a Gathrd account.
- Added email-verification checks in the ChatGPT connection and web-viewer flows so password-based accounts are verified before continuing with protected actions.
- Added a signed-in web viewer for ChatGPT-connected users, including collections, collection detail pages, and filtered saved-items routes tied to the same Gathrd account.
- Added collection management on the web viewer, including create, rename, and delete actions, so ChatGPT-led workflows can continue cleanly outside the chat.
- Added saved-item actions on the web viewer, including favourite and delete, so ChatGPT-created or ChatGPT-discovered saves can still be managed in Gathrd.
- Added a retailer-link import flow on the web viewer with preview, manual review, and save confirmation before a product is committed into a collection.
- Improved save reliability by validating retailer URLs, rejecting Gathrd links as inputs, limiting batch saves, and returning clearer failures for invalid or unsupported links.
- Improved ambiguous collection handling by asking people to choose the right collection instead of guessing when names are too similar.
- Improved newly signed-in browser sessions so the ChatGPT connection and web viewer feel more dependable straight after sign-in.
- Added open-in-Gathrd handoff URLs for collections, individual items, and filtered saved-item views so ChatGPT can send people to the right destination instead of just the homepage.
- Added iPhone handoff support plus a web fallback page, so collection and item links can continue into Gathrd more smoothly when the app is available.
- Improved continuity across ChatGPT, web, and iPhone by keeping collections and saved items inside one shared account model rather than creating a separate ChatGPT-only store.
- Fixed the ChatGPT feature to behave like a real Gathrd surface, with the support and trust foundations needed for a proper connected app experience.
